- • New Ulaanbaatar plates require manufacture within the last 10 years, Euro 4 or equivalent, and a pre-export inspection (from 1 June 2025), with LHD given priority; there is no nationwide age ban, maxAge 10 is the capital's registration condition
- • Duty 5% (Mongolia's WITS submission: every 8703 and 8703.80 line at 5%); BEV / hybrid excise is 50% of the table (Government Resolution 164/2017); from 10 August 2026 a further 33% excise applies to customs value above MNT 360 million; a 2027 budget-package draft would exempt BEVs up to 3 years old from duty, not yet passed
