• • Who can import: Mostly companies: RUT, VUCE import registration and a customs broker; a private new-car import follows the same steps; the model needs a Ministry of Transport homologation sheet (Ficha Técnica de Homologación)
• • Used cars cannot be imported; only classic / collector cars over 35 years old, diplomats and certain returning residents are exempt
