Can this car get in?
- ⛔ Right-hand drive only: China-market LHD cars cannot be imported — needs the RHD version
- • Age limit 4 years
- • Who can import: Individuals and registered companies may import; used cars need an import permit from the Ministry of Commerce (TradeLink) before shipment, and commercial used-car dealing needs a dealer licence
- • Right-hand drive only; LHD imports are prohibited (the 2026 Amendment No.3 allows LHD only for display), so a China-spec LHD car cannot be registered
- • Used passenger cars must be between 18 months and 4 years from first registration at shipment (the first car imported by an individual is exempt from the 18-month floor); non-individual imports need an overseas inspection within 2 months before shipment
