Azerbaijan tax bands require the actual manufacture date, not the model year or registration date. Petrol/hybrid duty is calculated per cc; a vehicle is treated as used after one year from manufacture regardless of low mileage. BEVs no more than 3 years from manufacture are duty-free; older BEVs pay 15%. Excise is progressive by displacement with age multipliers as shown in the breakdown. VAT at 18% includes CIF, duty and excise in its base. If the manufacture date is missing or too imprecise to resolve a tax band, only FOB/CIF are shown and DDP awaits details.
