Can this car get in?
- • Age limit 5 years
- • Who can import: Only enterprises licensed as automobile importers under Decree 116/2017 (manufacturer authorisation, warranty and service facilities) may import; individuals cannot import for trade
- • Used cars: no more than 5 years from manufacture, registered at least 6 months and driven at least 10,000 km in the origin country, with per-unit absolute / mixed duty (about USD 10,000 per car up to 1.5L)
- • Left-hand drive only; right-hand-drive cars cannot be imported
- • China-built passenger cars are outside the ACFTA concessions, so MFN duty 70% applies; BEVs up to 9 seats pay 3% special consumption tax until 28 February 2027 (then 11%) and 0% first registration fee until 28 February 2027
