- • Quem pode importar: Individuals (Moroccan ID or long-term residence card, personal use) or companies (trade register RC, ICE, tax ID and a PortNet account)
- • Inspeção pré-embarque: VOC (Verification of Conformity)
- • Right-hand-drive cars cannot enter or be registered
- • Used cars must be no more than 5 years old (up to 10 years for Moroccans returning from abroad aged 60+)
- • Minimum Euro 4 emissions; the maker's certificate of conformity is required
- • Used cars are valued through the customs MCV system, not on invoice

Major vehicle import ports in Morocco are Casablanca and Tanger Med. ICE passenger vehicles face a tax burden of around 41%-45% on CIF (plus 5%-20% luxury tax if vehicle value exceeds 400k MAD), whereas BEVs enjoy a preferential 2.5% duty and luxury tax exemption, bringing total tax down to ~23% on CIF. Key compliance constraints include a strict 5-year used vehicle age cap, strict LHD mandate, and minimum Euro 4 emission standard.
