Togo imports passenger vehicles primarily via the Port of Lomé (PAL), a major deep-water transit hub for West Africa. Standard ICE passenger cars face combined duties and taxes of approx. 45%-54% on CIF, though new cars enjoy an 80% customs valuation abatement, and brand-new EVs benefit from a 100% duty/VAT exemption. Strictly Left-Hand Drive (LHD) only; mandatory pre-shipment ECTN/BESC and Cotecna ADV verification apply.
