Quién puede importar y qué entra
- • Quién puede importar: Individuals (ID) and companies (tax ID NIF, statistical number STAT) may import; used cars go through the CIVIO identification procedure and pay GasyNet fees
- • Inspección previa al embarque: CIVIO identification inspection for used cars on arrival; new-EV relief needs MIDAC documents and an inspection (EUR 50)
- • No used-car age limit was found; used cars need a CIVIO identification inspection and are valued on Argus reference prices
- • Right-hand-drive cars cannot be registered; ship left-hand drive only
- • Duty / VAT exemption applies only to new battery-electric cars (8703.80.10, MIDAC certification); used BEVs (8703.80.20) pay 20% duty + 10% excise + 20% VAT, so this page under-quotes used BEVs (estimate)

No used-car age limit was found, but used cars need a CIVIO identification inspection and are valued on Argus reference prices; right-hand-drive cars cannot be registered. Petrol passenger cars pay 20% duty + excise (5% new, 10% used, on CIF + duty) + 20% VAT, plus an import income-tax prepayment (5% of CIF for importers without a tax ID; 2% creditable for registered companies) (estimate), about 60% of CIF for a new car. New battery-electric cars (8703.80.10) are exempt from duty, VAT and excise, subject to MIDAC documents and a EUR 50 inspection with customs classification; used BEVs (8703.80.20) pay the full 20% / 10% / 20%, so this page under-quotes used BEVs (estimate).
