Who can import and what gets in

• Who can import: Individuals and companies can import; companies need an EORI number
• Without an EU COC the car needs approval as an individually imported vehicle, then the STK technical inspection
• Landlocked: ship to Hamburg, Bremerhaven or Koper, then by road into Czechia
• Czechia has no one-off purchase or registration tax

EU duty 10% + VAT 21%, with no one-off purchase or registration tax. Czechia is landlocked: cars arrive via Hamburg, Bremerhaven or Koper and continue by road. China-spec cars without an EU COC need single-vehicle approval (cost estimated). New China-built BEVs and range-extender cars carry the EU countervailing duty: 35.3% unless a listed manufacturer issues the invoice with the required declaration; used cars (registered over 6 months and driven over 6,000 km) are outside it.
