EU duty 10% + VAT 25%; there is no one-off purchase or registration tax (cheaper on this point than Finland, the Netherlands or France); the malus on high-emission cars is an extra annual tax for the first three years, paid by the owner; Chinese-spec cars need single-vehicle approval; a winter market — buyers expect a heat pump and battery pre-heating; new Chinese-built BEVs get the maker's countervailing duty automatically, used cars exempt.
